for all practical purposes i am off thiis list still when i saw this

on BBC today(which i will not leave till death does us part...)

i thought of sharing it with all of you great souls...

the question was

where will you like to get married? ---Talking point

a very interesting regular feature on BBC i love to read

this is one of the answers:

Half way up the side of a mountain. That way,

which ever way you choose to go you either

find:

1) Its all downhill from here

or

2) Its all an uphill struggle

or

3) You end up going round in circles, finishing up

where you started.

Yup - that about sums up marriage to me (Only

kidding honey!) :o)

good wishes

it applies only to the case where a

person assumes that life is just problems which can be equated to

that of climbing a hill, come to half way thru it

lets take

lifespan = A -------> Z(26 letters)

marraige(halfway thru) = 0.5 (A---------> Z) = M(13 letter)

we will take presuppositon that just 3 persons...

person 1 (has seen all the problems in life) for him life is like

climbing a hill

person 2 (has not seen any problems in life) life is smooth ride ,

like travelling on a smooth road (no hills/mountains)

person 3 ( who has seen minute problems in life) for him life is like

having a bumpy ride

i interview this persons and ask them

q 1) how do you view life after marraige...

person 1 :(who has seen all problems in his life and struggled to

reach this point called M )so this person

based on his attitude towards marraige

he would be naturally saying any one of the three answers

a) other half of life uphill filled with struggles....if he thinks

marraige brings unhappiness, so for him it dosent help to lessen

his

struggles,so marraige dosent make a difference

b) other half of life downhill happy ......he values marraige and

considers marraige brings happiness.. so for him it makes all the

difference.

c) just the way it is .................. this is guy is confused as

to what marraige can bring abt so he is struck

person 2 :( who has seen no problems in life to reach point M ) so

this person

based on his attitude towards marraige

he would be naturally saying any one of the three answers

a) if he feells that marraige is going to bring unhappiness he would

see the other half of life as up hill.

b) if he values marragie brings happiness then also he would tell

life is a smooth ride

c) if he is confuesed he would say he will think life is a smooth

ride based on his expericceces/attitude

person 3) you can guess...

so the thing that can be conclueded that peson 1 and person 2 though

have faced conflicting environments in their life(one had struggles

and other was

of cool) based on how they see marraige both can still see it a up

hill

task ....

experince may /may not change an attitude or attitude may/may not

change how view an experience, only when we view the

attititude/experience

in light of the soul that can only lead, so develop the soul part of

ursleves by following ur dharma..../being with a sadguru...

Dear birendraji, a joke is a joke. It is not the digestive system of a

rat that you analyze all parts and give it's functions.

sorry i didnt think that u were joking. but besides i found the

problem kind of tricky too, so jumped in,in all cases, earlier i was

in an assumption that attitude was every thing but due to analysis

i could understand the experience element and that both influence

each other, but ......

blah blah..........
