Jai Gurudev!

Hi everybody.

Today, I was doing deep breathing for about 40 minutes (during the

time I held my body in a vajrasana, and prithvi mudra). Then I did

Hansi mudra in sukhasana. That time, I took deep breaths, and held it

for a little time before releasing it. After a few minutes in

sukhasana I began to have 'wierd' feelings everytime I held my

breath.

I've been having these 'wierd' feelings for some time now. Those

feelings occured to me once in a while, when I lie down for a while,

and then suddenly get up. I don't know how to describe them.

Sometimes, I feel currents going through my body as if theres

elestricity riding on my nerves. My thoughts become the only thing I

can focus on. And my vision turns black. Then after a few seconds,

the vison becomes bright, and I am able to see everything again. I

remember an experience I had with these feelings about a year or two

back. I believe all the things I described took place, but the the

only thing different was it was a very strong feeling. I don't know

what happened. I stood up from the couch and the state of 'weirdness'

came over me. I bagan to observe what I was thinking (along with the

other effects) then, I woke up lying on a table. I had guessed that I

had lost my concious and my muscles stopped pulling in order for me

to stand straight. For a couple of seconds, I had the currents on my

knees.

Fortunately, I guess, I haven't been experiencing much of those now.

But as I said I did pranayam, and had 'weird' feelings. This time,

these were different from the other ones I used to have, but had some

things in common. My vision turned a bit dark (for a few seconds) and

I was focusing on my thoughts. I had deep urges to breath out, as if

I held my breath for minutes (which I only held for seconds). I

didn't have much energy so I kept pushing my breath down , and

thinking of Krsna Bhagvan's name.

The reason I continued doing this, is after I released my breath, my

ears felt as if they were ringing, only much much softer. From

reading articles, I knew that the sound meant the movement of the

prana inside you when you do pranayam. But I also felt my head,

around the ears, nurning hot!

I am not sure if the burning sensation, and the 'weird' feelings are

a good thing.

Can any of you tell me if those are good signs also (if you ever

understood my descriptions of the 'weird' feelings)?

Jai Gurudev,

HAi friend based on your experiences i thin you are in

the process of activating the kundalini but before

that i want to know did you have such sort of previous

experiences before also if so are they identical to

what you have experienced do u feel a ray of light

flowing all along your spinal cord or aptly spine do u

feel some smells or tastes that you are experiencing

these all are preliminary steps to say that you are

activating or awakening the kundalini the dormant

serpent power but be careful you need to take a good

advice from gurudev as if awakened without gurus

guidance it may bring catastrophic results. this is

what i t hink from your experiences if iam wrong than

kindly forgive me and iam sorry may gurudev guide you

toward your goal.

I'm not sure about that

Yes, but I haven't taken any diksha, or done any sadhna to awaken the

kundalini. I am only a biggener.

No, the feelings of currents are all over my body, not just the

spinal cord. Actually, now that I think about it, I don't recall

feeling anything at the spinal cord.

> or aptly spine do u

> feel some smells or tastes that you are experiencing

No I don't feel any specific smell or taste

I don't think that my kundalini is responsible for the feelings, but

thank you anyway for the advice!

Dear Kashyap

Pranayam is fast way to awaken kundalini and in your case i

guess you have given it a bit of knock to sleeping kundalini. Yup! all these

things happen in Pranayama. I too have had some of these experiences while

doing Pranayama.

i suggest you to take Guru Diksha and continue with Paranayama and Guru

Mantra, Cheitanya Mantra and Gayatri Mantra. Also i request you to get in

touch with someone who is an authority in Kundalini Awakening or Pranayama.

i haven't gone beyond this by doing Pranayama and guess any further practice

be done after getting proper advice.

i guess burning sensations and weird feelings are all fine. I guess by weird

feelings u mean sudden rush of something in ur head that makes head go spin

and knock u off balance.

When prana is flowing through channels heat is generated which upon reading

some articles in patrikaa i can say this heat is generated as your bad

karmaas are getting burnt.

In of the sadhanas which is especially for burning past karmaas it is

mentioned that your body temperature will rise.

You can even try praying to Pujya Gurudev to accept you as his disciple

stating your inability in having enough money to get guru diksha. You can

start with chanting naaraayan naaraayan. i remember shrivaastav or

shaastriji saying that one shouldn't chant Guru mantra before getting

dikshaa but u can chant "Naaraayan". Gurudev have many a times given dikshaa

to many disciples in dream and there are some have taken dikshaas from him

in dream but never got a chance to meet him personally. so u see devotion is

what matters and follow ur heart with trueness.

luv,

Anurag
