i dont know much abt vedantic doctrine, but the way u wrote the

current mail and the earlier one it looks like you have ingrained

Ramana Maharisi's teachings.

Some scriptures say God is love some say its spirit and some say its

will ,some says its all of this or part of this, tibetian buddhism

say its "shoonya"

gnana yogi says the way you said...

But all of them say it has to be experiened be it love, or shoonya of

filliing free will.... so every one is consistent in this aspect

Gurudev used to tell that there are 1200 ways of attaining Lord that

is what i have understood when i read his "dhyan dharana samadhi"

But the observation is that the way of thinking is initially to the

likings of the personal taste and aspirations but as one progress

things merge. 'all rivers lead to the same ocean'.

so i hope its once persoanl choice as to what inspires him to God.

Good luck

birendra ,

I m not so much of Raman Maharishi devotee as i m of Sw.Vivekanada.

Like its mentioned in the upanishads that " ekam sat , vipra bahuda vadanti,,

yes u r right that we all go to ocean but thru different routes.

U surely know abt the 4 paths mentioned in the holy texts and one merges in the

other without our realsing it. I hope we will be able to talk more on this.

Interesting to see some one being devoted to Ramana Maharishi.

yes as of today its my understand thing that 1200 paths are like

tributaries to 4 main rivers(bhakti, gnana, karma, raja) that end up in

the ocean.

Good Luck
