Guest guest
To my dear spiritual companions, pranayam is characterized by the voluntary lengthening, deepening of the breath & involves its retention in accordance with a particular rhythm.Ordinary a normal person takes 15 to 16 breaths per minute, 21600 breaths a day but sadhak carries out his duties with only less than 7200 breaths a day. Thus he saves 14400 breaths in 24 hrs. the life span of a sadhak also increases in this very ratio. So life span should be measured in not the numbers of years but no. of breaths..The more we deepen the breath the more it shall enable to increase the pranic energy. The more the period of kumbhak is regulated & enhanced the more the reduction & wasting of breaths is ensured & a time comes when it is reduced to the minimum the life span increases & ageing delayed along with satwic food. chart helpful in understanding:- 1.) tortoise 4-5 breaths life span 200 years. 2.) snake 7-8 breaths life span 150 years. 3.) man 15-16 breaths life span 100 years approx. 4. horse 20-22 breaths life span 40 years. 5. dog 28-30 breaths life span 14 years. So if prana is deepend or made to suspend in susmana nadi man can live as many years he wants with his ageing stopped. Some of my friends must be knowing about the practical yogis who are still living & it difficult to guess their right age.I know few of them. So lesser & shorter the breaths of a person quickly the person will die, more he wastes his pran quickly he will perish. One can predict the time of death & disease of a person if knows the secret of prana & its movements in the body.Few people knows this. Thanks. Rohit.
