Guest guest
hi s r u doing this with full faith and devotion. r u true in ur motives. Ask these questions to urself and see if u r doing it. It is said that even a single chanting of mantra doesn't go waste. Your past life karmaas might be getting nullified. Whenever i recite mantra in haste or with less devotion i don't get experiences. And whenever i have done that with all love and faith i have been always blessed with an experience. Even simple prayers work. i have done some laghu sadhans even without sadhana articles and have got experiences for them too. If love, faith, will, patience and trueness is there things will happen such has been my experience. Guest guest
JAI GURUDEV Hi... > How do you maintain your devotion and faith when everything is > going wrong even after all your prayers - jaap - sadhnas and no > experiences?? Frankly speaking, you can't have real faith and devotion unless you see things in action. If you are having problem maintaining it, it's not faith and it's not devotion. Faith and devotion can not be created, they just happen like love. I suggest, don't worry about them, they'll just happen when the right time comes. About experiences, they don't always look the way you want them to be. A baby can't be delivered instantly after conception. It's a natural process and takes time; sometimes less, sometimes more. The same goes for sadhanas. Moreover, there are other factors too like concentration, method, style, attitude, your goals etc. Don't jump to bigger sadhanas. Start with easier ones. If you are having concentration problems, try meditation or beej mantras or even both. If you are a negative thinker, you'll need to work harder to get any results. Remember, success or failure simply reflect the state of your mind. Positive thoughts help you progress better while negatives take away whatever you have earned. If you have a huge goal, divide it into multiple small ones and concentrate on each fragment one at a time, in an orderly manner. Sadhana is to brain what bodybuilding is to body. To see any positive result, you must be very disciplined, punctual and active. Nothing would happen in a blink of an eye. About things going wrong. On April 22, 1997 in Bhopal, I had asked similar question to Shrivastavji. He replied, "Maybe, the time for your success hasn't come. Why don't you prepare yourself for that time so that you can take most from it whenever it comes instead of worrying and loosing your energy?" That was true and that's the beauty of life. There won't be success unless there is failure. There won't be right unless there is wrong. I am an adventure loving person. I, too, have a lot of problems; but, I see them as a chance to prove my strength and flax my muscles. Have faith in yourself, accept the challenge and never give up. You will be successful. I wish you luck... Ashish...

Guest guest
nice comments ashish. once a disciple asked guruji "will i get success in 1-2 daysafter taking dikshaa". Guruji replied saying even a child needs 9 months to be able to live in this world. There is a maturity time for every event in this universe. Success in sadhana also depends on at what stage of spirituality one is. Ashish is also very right in saying that there can be no real faith unless one has seen things in real. in one of the magazines gurudev said to a group his disciples one can never be sure that god exists unless one has seen him for real. real faith comes only after one has known who he really is. If one is not able to solve a problem then it doesn't mean that problem in its itself is wrong. one has to reach a certain level of understanding to be able to solve it. > >nikhilashish [nikhilashish] >Friday, May 31, 2002 12:14 AM > > Re: Please Advise > > >JAI GURUDEV >Hi... > >> How do you maintain your devotion and faith when everything is >> going wrong even after all your prayers - jaap - sadhnas and no >> experiences?? > >Frankly speaking, you can't have real faith and devotion unless you >see things in action. Guest guest
Jai Gurudev! Hello to everyone. I to am having the same problem. Around March 12, I sent an e-mail explaining my problems, and asking for guidance. I got a prompt reply in two weeks, saying that Gurudev would look at my mail, and respond by letter. However, I am still waiting for the letter. I also think there is a serious problem with the handling of the queries. Who knows, there might be many people sending in letters about their troubles. Guest guest
registered letter usually comes within 2-3 weeks such has been my experience. I guess there are lot of queries and on that Gurudev will have to go for shivirs and meet disciples and other works for the organisation. if Gurudev is answerinf all queries (of course gurudev dictates them the solution and they type the letter and send it our way.) i guess amidst all this, delay should seem reasonable. I used to get perturbed when i used to get a reply some 2-3 weeks later and letter within another 2-4 weeks. I heard Gurudev (Dr. Narayana Dutt Shrimali) used to sleep for only couple of hours. credit or debit card for payment will be good solution to make the cycle short for getting sadhana related articles, books and dikshaas.
