Guruji once described the difference between Mantra and Tantra. Mantra is

like paying to gods and godesses to give us something but its up to them

whether they give us that or not. Tantra forces Gods and Godesses to give us

what we ask for.

anurag what i meant was i do not understand the difference in modus

operandi--the sadhna procedures are very similar
