It is distinguished by a unique technique of Kriya Pranayamas for the purpose of controlling the "Life-force" and ultimately coaxing it to ascend. It is the proven scientific method of realizing god & knowing him through Tatva& also getting moksha .Penetrating the the three Granthis i.e. Brahma Granthi, Vishnu Granthi, Rudra Granthi. Guest guest
Anurag Ji: Kriya Yoga is a systematic approach of attaining oneness with Brahman through life force control. It was popularized by Paramahansa Yogananda, and a detailed description can be found at: http://www.adesha.com/autobiography/chap26/chap26.html Kundalini Jagran is one of the things that happen during the practice of Kriya Yoga, but only a means towards the end. There are actually four grantis or knots: Tongue knot, heart knot, naval knot and muladhar knot. Each of these are successively pierced through regular practice, and constitute important milestones. Piercing the heart knot completely enables one to be able to stop his heart beat at will and also leave and reenter the body at will. Piercing the naval knot gives total control over hunger and eliminates the dependence on food. Piercing the muladhar knot implies that there is no more distinction between the 7 chakras and all of them become one. At this stage, there would be no need to even breathe, and the person lives through cosmic energy and can go on and on indefinitely. Yogiraj Lahiri Mahasaya, the Father of Kriya Yoga used to have zero pulse during his later years, which was also verified by doctors, who were obviously baffled at this finding. Perhaps the Brahma, Vishnu and Rudra Grantis refer to the naval, heart and tongue knots. Guest guest
There are many Kriya Yogis worldwide and Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) is the organization established by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1920 for the purpose of disseminating Kriya Yoga to sincere seekers. SRF is also called Yogoda Satsang Society (YSS) in India. The headquarters are located at Los Angeles and Ranchi, but they also have centers/temples in other cities. Sri Daya Mata, a direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda since 1920s, is currently the president of SRF. There are also other lines apart from SRF, and many of them are very secretive and are not looking for many disciples. So if one looks for them hard enough and is meant to find them, then one will certainly find them. There are two sites I can think of right now that provide very valuable information on Kriya Yoga: http://www.yoganiketan.net http://www.angelfire.com/ky3/kriyayoga I'd also like to caution that there are too many teachers, swamis, "babas" and "gurus" claiming to teach "original kriya yoga" but many are frauds. And one needs to be careful about them, specially if one is interested in learning the real thing and not getting caught with fakes. For more details, you may feel free to email me.
