Guru Purnima Travelogue

International Siddhashram Sadhak Pariwar organized Guru Purnima this year

at Omkareswor sponsored by Guru Pariwar of Madhya Pradesh Siddhashram Sadhak.

We were blessed by the presence of Param Bandaniya Mataji and Guru Trimurti

on the occasion.

Since I did not come across or met any of the ISSP group members, I have

been wondering if anyone else in this group has the same urge as I do to

meet each other and exchange views. I would think that it is about time

that we all of us use this opportunity to meet each other at Shivirs or

before or after. For us from a far away place like Nepal the travel to the

Shivir site itself is an adventure inspired by the crave of getting a

glimpse of The Lotus Feet.

Preparation takes weeks if not months to get booking on the railways as

there is no booking facility from Kathmandu nor any place in Nepal to

access Railway bookings. That is if you know where exactly you are going

and which is the shortest best route to go. Scanning the Railway time table

book to determine the train took me more than a week until I found the

route via Bhopal the easiest. Then accessing the Railway info on the rain

on the Internet was fun to find many more facts.

Conclusion: There should be a hand out prepared by the Organizers to give

direction. May be printed with the ad on the MTYV issues. Not just

Omkareswor bus stand ke paas...

The number of participants willing to go always fluctuates causing

confusing. At one stage we decided to rent a bus and got the permits from

the Embassy but were forced to discard the plan as the bus owner fled from

the scene after all the preparation. 19 Sadhaks from Kathmandu ( three

cancelled their plan at the last minute by not appearing on the gathering

spot) and 3 from Palpa were finally able to cross the border on the 20th of

July with no (train/bus) confirmed bookings for the further journey. As

usual, we depended on Param Pujya Guru Dev's intervention. We realized that

He was there to bless us as always when we got +22 seats confirmed for the

next day morning on the train leaving Gorakhpur for Bhopal.

Motto :- Look back and you will find what HE has been deciding what you

achieve. Do not dwell in Vain believing that you are doing this or that.

Traveling in a group of +20 in the same compartment gave us many

opportunities to discuss things and to do Guru Aarati in the mornings and

evening collectively. The group represented about 10 districts from Nepal,

a great opportunity to meet brothers and sisters from many different part

of the country on a different country soil and being able to exchange views

was the most fruitful part of this journey segment.

Discussion results:- We must pray to Guru Dev to grant us at least One

Shivir every year so that the mushrooming Semi/Pseudo Gurus can not exploit

the new comers. Palpa came forward to host the next Shivir IF Guru Dev so

granted.

Motto:- Motivation required for all Guru Bhais and Bahans new or old.

Once we reached Bhopal we decided to take a bus, therefore took three

wheelers to the bus station. There was this luxury bus leaving for Indoor

waiting for us. It is otherwise unthinkable to find 20 plus vacant seats

but we got it and slept all the way to Indoor from the time of departure

(mid night 21st night) till we reach Indoor around 0530 in the morning. We

used the3 facility room at the Indoor bus station to freshen up before we

boarded the MP roadways bus leaving for Omkareswor. In two and a half hour

we reached a spot in the middle of the jungle which was a very pleasant

surprise to find it as a Shivir Sthal before reaching Omkareswor. A

perfect Shivir spot to do Sadhana, I thought.

The organizers had all the logistic facilities made available by the time

we arrived in the morning of 22nd July. Must have been a very hard work to

arrange Tents, Stage, Decoration, Water supply, floor coverings,

electricity (with back up generator) food stalls, toilets (of course fewer

than required) etc. etc. The list will go on. I had no choice but admire

the efforts of the organizers for an arrangement so well made!!!

Motto:- There is nothing impossible for the motivated and devoted Sadhaks.
