Jay Gurudev,

I wanted advice from you guys on this situation...

I went to the site: http://www.rudraksha-ratna.com

and discovered that they are selling rudraksh malas of 10mm 5 mukhi

beads for only Rs.300! Could this be a scam, since the price is so

low? Could the mala be a fake one?

hello kashyap ji,

i thought that the malas are bit too expensive, if i was in india i

would have got them a lot cheaper.:-) if you go to places like

haridwar, rishilkesh (or old delhi) you may get it for even lesser, i

think less than a 100 rs. i am sure as i have bought there from

reliable shops. the bigger the size of beads the cheaper is the mala.

pancha mukhi rudraksha beads are the most common ones. i saw 5 mm for

1350 rs and 9 mm for 400 on this site after reading your mail. i do

not know the size but we get a rudraksha mala from gurudham for 300

rs. the only problem is a that they need to be restrung and trust me

to loose a bead at such critical times.

my reasons for recommending the site was only that i like their

presentation, they are very professional and i "feel" they seem

genuine. but again, i never tried them as all my samagri comes from

gurudham when poor richendra bhaiiyya has to spend an hour with my

list.

so please use your own discretion and search around the net. i have

not tried them as i said before, but i will be very surprised if they

were selling fake. i would not be one bit surprised if they were and

are over priced. i think they are over priced actually, but then this

is internet.
