Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters, Jai Gurudeva! My name is Lucas Book, I live in the USA. I found MTYV site and wish to study with Gurudeva, and to take initiation. I finally (after about a month) received an e-mail concerning Guru Diksha from someone named Gupta. He said to send a bank draft, etc. for diksha. Please, anyone who truely knows, and I don't mean just think they know, but really knows, could you please help me in making arrangements for this to take place. The external running of things seems very shaky, and I need to know more concretly how to run things from my end. I do not want to wait two months to find out something has gone wrong, only to have to repeat the proceedure, and again wait. I am feeling uneasy about sending my diksha application and bank draft, as I do not want there to be any confusion. Please, maybe anybody who is in the USA can help me, and tell me what to expect. I realize that hardships are the test of the Guru, but it is my job to make sure everything is done correctly from my end. Who gives Diksha now that Dr. Narayan has left his body? Guest guest
I had sent a draft for $170 US with a photo and made out a international draft and given all details about myself including date and place of birth and mother and father's name. The draft was made out to Arvind Shrimali Intrust. However someone sent a letter almost two months later with the draft returned along with the photo and asking to drop the Intrust and just send a new draft with just the name. As for getting response to any email. They just don't seem bothered. I have sent email in early August as well as when I sent the new draft I had asked a few questions concerning Kavach and told them to let me know by email when they receive my new issued draft. Not yet. Since the last email over a month ago I have sent more and yet no response. When I called Jodhpur today Ganesh with whom I have spoken in the past said that he would check out my status and get whosoever is responsible to get me answer. It is a pity that although they have email and they are charging fees for services ( and I support that), they should a paid worker to handle their email response and correspondence . It seems that they need more staff if they are busy dealing with many people around the world. They have a major website when compared to others. So why not get a little more professional ? Although in the letter I had sent with the Intrust draft I had written to them the purpose (the problem) , when they returned the draft , they asked me to send details as to what my problem was. I sent another draft with just the name of Arvind Shrimali. However you may refer to the site as it does mention of whom the draft is payable to. - lbook22 Friday, September 27, 2002 11:29 PM Questions Dear Brothers and Sisters,Jai Gurudeva! My name is Lucas Book, I live in the USA. Guest guest
Dear Nazir, I agree that steps should be taken to professionalize the current system. I too support that they are charging fee, but yes, something must be done to support sadhaks living around the wold that wish to gain the merit of sadhanas. Perhaps there is something we can do? Guest guest
jay gurudev; To your second question as to who gives diksha ---- Dr. Narayan Dutt three sons revered Nand Kishore, Kailash and Arvind Shrimali are entitled to give diksha. They are often addressed as Guru Trimurti. regards Mithilesh wrote: Dear Nazir,I agree that steps should be taken to professionalize the current system. Guest guest
Hi Nazir, i had also queried about something quite sometime back and i recieved the response sometime back i guess there is a lot of backlog of emails at their side. As far as my experience goes respose to me have never delayed more than 3 weeks but this time it was delayed by more than 1 month. I guess they are recieving lot of emails. i suggest rely more on snail mails and personal communication. Snail mail being the dominant media of communication (as most of the people still don't have access to email) they would have put lot of man force behind it as compared to email.
