Yoni Peeth - Linga Statue BasesDear Aspirants and especially Linga owners,

I have recently undertaken a new artform

and have finally available for purchase

Yoni bases for specific size Narmadeshwar Siva Lingas.

These bases will fit up to 5 inch tall Lingas. Larger

Yonis can be custom ordered.

When ordering I will need specific dimensions

of the Linga that you own. To take dimensions

please measure 1/4 inch up from base for up to

1 and 1/2 inch tall lingas, and measure 1/2 inch

up for 1 and 1/2 to 2 and 1/2 inch high lingas,

then wrap a thread around linga horizontally, and

get the measure similar to getting a hat size,

then lay the thread flat on a ruler and note this

number, also measure from bottom to top of linga.

I need these two measurements.

Note that all yonis are made to order.

They are made from concrete,

decorated in enamels, epoxies, and rosins, and

covered in polyurethane to provide a waterproof finish.

They are made to stand up to daily abhishekam (bathing).

The shape of the Yoni lets bathing mixtures pour off

in a controlled manner.

Currently they come in multi colored bright Shakti colors.

Pink, red, white, golden, copper, orange, and yellow.

They are very pretty and I will provide some

photos in another week or two. Please email me at

kirk_bernhardt (AT) cox (DOT) net for more info.

Prices are $22.00 for small, 2 inch in length, and $28.00

for medium 3 inch long base. 8 inch long large Yonis are

$65.00 They weigh from four to six ounces for the small and medium

and 1 - 2 pounds for the large. S & H is $6.00 for s - m, and $12.00 for

large. They will be sent ground freight, and between custom crafting

and shipping may take up to 4 - 6 weeks.

I am aproximating tantric measurements for these objects based on

some calculations found at www.sambavi.com.

Thank You. - Kirk

Q and A:

Q. Concrete doesn't sound very sacred.

A. All of earth is sacred. Concrete is a cool neutral

stone natural material made from silicon, oxygen, nitrogen,

and trace minerals, and is similar in quality to quartz/sphatik

in feeling. It also does pick up "vibes" and becomes infused

with a sacred energy through contact with the linga and ritual.

Moreover, it has a nice heavy feel similar to expensive granite

Yonis which are super expensive and hard to procure from India.

Q. I have some sacred silver Mahakali coins that I have always wanted

to use in something, can I have you put them in the Yoni somehow?

A. Yes, mail them with the check, and I will use them for

ornaments on the Yoni. I can use any object that you value

since all Yonis are made individually. I can also add sacred

ash (vibhuti) to the concrete mix, sphatik beads, broken malas,

Indian, and Aboriginal artifacts, anything sacred and clean,

I can mix anything with the concrete. The possibilities are

endless. I recommend that one choses items that can be considered

feminine and representative of the sacred Yoni we are making.

Q. What about remains like cremated animals or relatives.

A. I'm not really sure. I don't think so since we really want

this to represent Adiparashakti who though universal would

probably get bound up in objects which contain so much memory

and emotion.

Q. I worship the tantric Goddess Mahakali and want to use dark blues

and black which are sacred to her as Shayama or Ratri.

A. Yes, no problem, please be very specific. I would ask that

people snail mail me their specific wishes with their check so that

I can maintain some sense of order to this. It's very hard to match

things up with emails.

Q. Do you take credit cards?

A. No. I'm not hooked up for this and won't be for some time.

However, Ms. Neeta at Rudra Centre can take charges and I can ship

from here in the US, thus keeping S & H low. However, I prefer

people to email me for contact info, and then to mail checks

or MO to my address.

Q. What if we don't like the Yoni, can we send it back for a refund?

A. Yes, except for S & H, for which I have no indemnity, I will

refund full price. Except for custom Yonis. Please understand

that custom Yonis are not so very expensive considering the effort

going into making them.

Q. I have a specific design that I would like made in the form of

a Lajja Gauri. Can you do this?

A. I am a craftsman, and an artist. I can find a way to do anything.

But, you must provide complete plans for the design. I cannot

extrapolate on these things, and prices for time and materials will

be made accordingly. I aim to keep prices relative to the cost

of Narmada Lingas however.

Q. I prefer rustic granite looking Yonis. Can they be left chunky

and unpolished?

A. Yes, of course. It's easier for me. Please make specific demands

very clear and mail them with the check.
