Guest guest
2. Why is money all that important to get diksha? does that mean that God / Guru wud not accept the prayers of the poor. Did Eklavya not get the 'Dhanur Vidya' from the idol of 'Guru Dronacharya'? However, that innocence, devotion, selfless determination is rare in today's world, if there still is any. A day or two ago as I walked home tired and emotionally exhausted, I remembered how I had thundered to arun bhaiya – if your guru asks me to come and sweep the floor of gurudham daily I will do it, but I will not pay money to purchase spiritual power. That said I have taken some deekshas. But then, am on this oath again (and still am) never to take deeksha by money. Part of the cause is that I am not desperate for anything anymore and partly because I am not in a state that is desperate either. Yet, I read a very thoughtful remark about how being in a negative environment helps one get over hidden negative tendencies. And sure I must have had and still have a lot many. That is the reason perhaps why when I chose to take some time to myself I got entangled in so much mess at issp and got so much stress in my life. If this cleansing could have been achieved just by paying some money - was it not so much simpler. Biru bhaiya is right. One should avoid making strong statements on any issue. That said, if you choose to take deeksha by paying money - please do it with the feeling of devotion and not with the feeling of purchasing something. Otherwise it may fail to produce results at least for the immediate problem. And yes my faith in trimurti gurus is still very shaky – I am very happy that the mess of which I have been a part and parcel has been sorted here, that ashish is back here as well is once again advising me about how to conduct myself at issp and deal this situation and that situation, and feels annoyed if someone makes a pass at his sister. But I do need a break very badly. So am planning on vanishing for a few weeks. Take care all Jai gurudev anu
