Guest guest
I just wish to add a certain point here to the very insightful posting of our friend Anu.... Regarding abhachar karmas, even though they are not respected, sometimes they may become necessary in order for peace to exist in this world. A policeman sometimes needs to use his gun to kill criminals, as a part of his duty. There's no doubt that the policeman commits violence, but if he doesn't, then we would only see more killings, more murders committed by the criminals. Hence, by committing a little violence, the policeman prevents a greater violence from occuring, and this might also be termed as an act of "non-violence" in a relative way. Similarly, there are also plenty of evil tantriks in this world, who indulge in black magic and several other evil practices, and unless we equip ourselves with all the "weapons" to stand up against such forces, we ourselves would be destroyed by these forces. So the abhachar karmas might come into play here, and we might have to function like cops in that regard. However, abuse of these abhachar karmas certainly creates more karma and we would have to account for it eventually. For instance, if we try vashikaran rituals to get a promotion in a job over an otherwise more qualified employee, then it's likely that during the next life or even the same life, someone else less qualified might use a similar ritual to supercede us in the same way. We're living in a world of relatives, where absolutes do not exist. So I believe that everything (including the most filthy) has its place here during the appropriate circumstances, and there are no "perfect" solutions in an imperfect world. ("Aghora: At the Left Hand of God" is a wonderful book that shows how even the filthiest substances can be used for spiritual progress.) Paramahansa Yogananda once said that evil exists in this world in order for us to stop being attached to the world and start seeking the Creator of the world instead. If the world were perfect, then nobody would seek the Maker of the world. Hence evil exists, as ordained directly by the Creator, so we're required to be practical and learn to deal with it accordingly. And at the same time, we are also urged to rise above the dualities of good and evil, and seek unity through Divine Union with the Infinite Spirit through various means.
