Guest guest
sorry i didnt post the heading.... shree Guru charana kamalebhyo namah > Can anybody also tell me what is "Rishidinyaas" and > "viniyog" ? Also do tell me how to do dhyan? NYASA Nyasa is one of the essential ritual of tantra worship, besides it can be seen in other forms of worship also Nyasa has multiple meanings like "to place", "invoke","stabilize","steadiness" Nyasa is the process by which the diety is internalised, as we do sadhana our astral/ethreal being gets purified, so in that purified form we are invoking the diety into ourselves by saying let LORDS LEG be PLACED in my LEGS of our PURIFIED ethereal being of ourselves, so on and so forth. As the diety is represented by Mantra, so the nyasa related a particular word of the mantra to the particular body part depending on the type of Nyasa NYASA is performed using the right hand usually KARANYASA (related to hand/fingers---->5 element) and ANGNAYASA(anga = body parts) combo are performed. it can also be independent(not combo) Nyasa basically involves the devata(as represented by the words of the mantra) and your body parts. so you basically invoke the devata/devatas/celestial beings into your body that is purified while doing sadhanas. Nyasa is the process of erasing ourselves and establishing the diety in ourselves. Nyasa is the process of TRANSFORMATION of ourselves into the diety itself in a way. Nyasa is done to stabilise your energy in the physical body and so as to attain steadiness in worship. Nyasa NAMING can refer either of the body/diety probably RISHI-ADI-NYASA is trying to invoke rishis into your body parts... VINIYOGA viniyoga means utility of a particular sadhana/ritual , each sadhana has a utility for ex like "getting rid of enemies, attain grace..." so it is written by a particular RISHI and has to be invoked in that particular(chandah) for a particular devata. if you drop water on the ground during viniyoga, then it means that you are doing the ritual and the witness are the elements(earth and water). DHYANA Visualisation is important for good sadhana results, for ex you may be doing krishna sadhana, but what form of krishna are you invoking? BALA KRISHNA( the little one as seen by yashoda) GOPIKA KRISHNA(as seen by gopikas)..... so sadhana depends on the type of form you are invoking, even though it is the same lord, so the description that is given in DHYAAN will help you attaining the requiste result by the sadhana. my knowledge/understanding of this is majorly from "KUNDALINI AGHORA SERIES2 BY ROBERT SVABODA" and minorly from GURUDEVS/SHIVANANDA/...
