Mahalaxmi - Ganapati: Beej Combo Mantra: Shreem Gam Shreem

Hi Everyone,

 

I'm new to the group.

 

I no very little about mantras,other than what I know from my

experience of Transcendental meditation!

 

I learnt TM back in 1985,My mantra which I had been told was a

meaningless sound which sounded like ''Sher-ing'' has a very close

resemblence to Tantric beej mantra for Goddess Lakshmi- SHRING,except

it was definately 2 syllables ''Sher- ing'' I would not have revealed

this mantra only for the fact that two friends of mine got the same

mantra,anyway all that to one side,I have a question!

 

My experience of TM has been very good,appart from the fact that I

share my ''personal mantra'' with other people,and I was wondering if

I could do TM type meditation with any bija mantra,for example the

Mahalaxmi - Ganapati: Beej Combo Mantra: Shreem Gam Shreem ?
