Guest guest Posted June 6, 2003 Report Share Posted June 6, 2003 Hi, I am new in this group,at present I am having mahadasha of surya and jupitar,I have read some where in the messages that jaap of the(Om Roum Reem hroum seh suryaya nemeh) Matra in the bracket would help,But some body told me that its a tantrik mantra and I Should not do it as it requires lot of preparations and rituals and in the absence of which I might have adverse effect,Please some body help me with this should I go ahead with this mantra and what all things should I keep in mind. Guest guest Posted June 6, 2003 Report Share Posted June 6, 2003 Well, if the sole purpose is to propitiate Sun, then you can do other simple mantras, why do u get into perpetual doubt of tantric or vedic mantra? In addition to surya mantra (see below), you should do at least one paath of Aaditya Hridaya strotra. Om hreem suryaay namah (7000 mantras over a week, sunday to sunday) To clarify the tantric pronunciation, the dot on each beej mantra is pronounced as soft "g" in place of soft "m".
