Guest guest Posted June 15, 2003 Report Share Posted June 15, 2003 On must rememeber that many of the mantras given on the site or sadhnas wont work just reading or taking from the book, magazine or elsewere.It simply wont work because it is not given by siddh guru personally or the person is not initiated by guru. I would like to know whether anybody has any achievement while doing some sadhna reading from the book, magazine. It s good for knowledge but it wont work like this. Just a touch of MTYV magazine provided me with the spiritual magazine. Most of the times i have done sadhnas just by reading from the magazine. I have very rarely failed in getting experiences via Prayers/ Mantra recitation, such is the grace of Pujya Gurudev. Yes i agree initiation by Guru is essential but there are many sadhakas to whom Pujya Gurudev provided initiation in dream and then they were successful in performing sadhana. yes before walking on the spiritual path one should obtain initiation by whatsoever means. Yes it is generally said that one should personally obtain Mantraas from Guru and i guess one of the reasons is correct pronunciation. on the other hand if one is initiated and have obtained mantra personally from Gurudev even then one may not get experience/ success because one didn't had faith / devotion. But then no one can understand ways of enlightened ones.
