Guest guest
Jai Gurudev. Because of Gurudev's grace, I had had the opportunity of attending a few sadhana shivhirs (camps). In one of the sadhana shivhir, I had an experience that I would like to share. A bhajan was going on and Poojya Gurudev was seated on a neatly decorated asana on the pandal. I was looking at our guruji when all of a sudden I felt the things around me changing - Everything around me started turning dark and even the bhajan that was going on appeared to have stopped. I could sense a pin drop silence. Guruji's physical appearance started changing. He started looking younger and his hairs were also long. The figure before me was now no longer that of our gurudev Dr. Narayan Dutta Shrimaliji. I had read Swami Yogananda's "Autobiography of a Yogi" about 4 years back. This book had a rough picture of the Maha-avtar baba. I realized that the person I was looking at (our gurudev) was none other than the Maha-avtar baba - his appearance was exactly the same as that of Mahavtar baba's picture. This glimpse lasted for a few seconds when I was (almost) completely thoughtless. Then all of a sudden some thoughts arose in my mind and I ended up putting a question mentally to our Gurudev - "What is happening?”. With this the things started reverting back to "normal" and our gurudev was now seated in the form of Dr. Narayan Dutta Shrimali and the same bhajan was going on and the guru bhai's around me were enjoying the bhajan. I was fortunate to have had this glimpse and I firmly believe that our gurudev was none other than Babaji. From my earlier experiences, I knew Gurudev could read our thoughts and answer our queries even if they weren't asked. I only wished that I could have remained thoughtless then for a little longer.... SBC DSL - Now only $29.95 per month!
