Guest guest
Respected members, If anyone knows, could you please let me know the following: 1. What is Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra - what is the nature of this matra and to which deity is it offered? 2. The Mantra. 3. I was told to recite this 16000 times. To do it over many days, how many times should the mantra be recited (minimally) each day? 4. Procedure - any naivedyam/offering that needs to be made to any deity, procedures such as sipping of water before/during or after the mantra. 5. Any specific day or tithi that the mantra recitation should commence. Could any member that knows this kindly let me know the same. I would be very, very obliged and grateful for this help. Eagerly looking forward to help with regards to this mantra. Warm regards, Jayashree ( New member )
Guest guest
The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is a great mantra for healing. The mantra's rough meaning is the great mantra relieving one from death and disease. Here it is: Om Haum Joom Saha Om Bhur Bhuvaha Swaha Om Trayumbakum Yajamahe Sughandhim Pushti Vardanam Urvar-ukamiva Bandhanam Mrityor Muksheeya Mamritat Swaha Bhuvaha Bhur Om Shah Joom Haum Om Meaning: O Three eyed Shiva who is fragrant, bless me with health & immortality and sever me from the clutches of death. Note: You really should have a guru to guide you in this. If you wish to take a second opinion regarding pursuing this you may wish to contact my guidance at WWW.kamalkapoor.com I am not affiliated with him and have nothing to gain. I have consulted him in the recent past with absolute results. God Bless and Best Regards, Bharat
