According to V., the Savitri Gayatri is NOT the true Gayatri nor is the form used for visualization the true form of the true Gayatri. The true Gayatri is NOT taught to the masses in Kali Yug, it's the mantra of Satya Yug and only Rishis are allowed to chant it without wreaking havoc. The true Gayatri is so powerful that even one syllable of the true Gayatri will kill most people -- it channels so much energy. Then Vimalananda goes on to tell of how one of his students (children) nagged him until V. gave in and gave him one syllable of the true Gayatri. V. told this man (who had already done plenty of sadhana) to take this one syllable and chant it only eleven (11) times a day. The student (greedy for realization) chanted it 108 times. The student realized himself to be Narayana and his wife as Lakshmi after that one mala, but then he went into the bathroom. He stayed in the bathroom so long that his wife became frightened and asked the neighbors to break down the door. They found him with his head under the faucet of running water. His head was so overheated by the power of that one syllable. He died shortly thereafter. But he did receive moksha, just prematurely. Interesting story. In any case, according to Vimalananda the True Gayatri is unpublished and only given by Satgurus to the most advanced chelas and rarely at that. So I'm putting away my desire for the Savitri Gayatri. I think it's more appropriate for me to start with a simple Saraswati mantra. Astraea --- End forwarded message ---
Guest guest
dear sadhaks and shishyas, i dont think the word received moksha prematurely is a right word.when u say "he died but received moksha prematurely" it dosent sound right.bcos moksha means complete freedom and where there is complete freedom a being cannot die.moksha depends on a mans yearning and will.if it is given by nature or by maturity then moksha is not possible et all.the only maturity is his will.being strong willed is the whole eccence of sadhana by which one takes he great leap of nirvana. i may not be completely right please comment jai gurudev , "Srinath Ram" <srinath_atreya> wrote: > , "astraea2003" <astraea2003> > wrote: > Namaste Chris, > More info on the Gayatri: > On pages 132 to 137 of Robert Svoboda's "Aghora II: Kundalini", the > Aghori Vimalananda discusses the Gayatri mantra. Guest guest
Dear All, Pls realise one thing. Either Vimalananda conned Svoboda or Svoboda has conned his readers. A mantra works only in its totality. One syllable wont kill any one. There are only 41 syllables (Bijas) in Sanskrit. Pls try repeating each one of them if you like I assure you u wont become narayana. i have wondered about that part of svoboda's book and can only come to the conclusion that it has been included for sensationalism. Please use your common sense before believing something. Guest guest
Dear Venkat, Firstly the beeja is not necessarily a single beeja of sankrit aplphabet. it might be a combination like hasrouunnmyyy....so that part of your argument is wrong. I think vimalananda dint give the gayathri to the guy but some other mantra(if i remember right, correct me if im wrong) ...but what he says he correct the original gayathri mantra is with very few people. i have cross verified it with some siddhas i telepathically contact. there is a gayathri for sathya yuga which was the original. and the mantra is a very powerful one.however i dont know whether one syllable can do such things. maybe the whole mantra and the vislauisation will bring in lot of energy. it was not written for sensationalism. svoboda will be kicked in the butt of vimalanda. i know vimalananda through my aghori guru. he was a very angry and quixotical person. so long, Dattu , "Venkat" <vvenkat111> wrote: > > > Dear All, > > Pls realise one thing. Guest guest
Hi, I believe that a mantra is not just a syllable. The effect that a mantra can have on a person depends on many factors and we cannot generalize things. Firstly, i think the mantra received by a guru is charged with shakti, the more powerful the guru, the more powerful the mantra. Its much more difficult to reach any success in japa from a mantra one has not been given by a guru. I m not saying that its impossible, its just very difficult. The easy way, is to get the mantra from a guru. Another factor to consider is the fact that each person has its own samskaras in sadhana. If you spend some lifetimes practicing a mantra, in your current incarnation, the mantra will surely have a different effect on you that on someone who is just starting. So you might even become narayana if you did enough in your past births ). Never say never.... I am sure mantras work with energy and their goal is to awaken the kundalini. And a kundalini that awakens in an unprepared body can cause problems. Last but not least and regarding the secret Gayatri, I have read from different sources that there are secret mantras in the astral areas, so I wouldnt be surprised if there is another secret version of gayatri mantra. > Dear All, > > Pls realise one thing.
