Can we use wool asanas for pooja. or with both ? Guest guest
--- i have totally forgotten the logistics behind this, I spread a comfy cushion - on top of it a wool asan. (it is especially preferably if you are spreading it directly over ground) and wear yellow silk. for me the color is either yellow or red. until specified otherwise for the sadhana. jai gurudev anu silk asans are also allowed a In , Ravi <mgravimg> wrote: > > SHRI GURUBHYO NAMAH > > OM SHRI MATRE NAMAH > > > > Can we sit on silk cloth and do pooja daily. Guest guest
Different colours resonate with different mantraas, thats why many a times one will see an asana of a particluar colour being prescribed for a particular sadhana. Colours have an effect on our mind (psycology). Colours affect our moods. i guess one of the reason for using cotton/ woolen etc. will be to be simple and closer to nature. As such asanaas are required because they should act as bad conductor of electricity between sadhak and earth. I guess grihasth (married) should use yellow whenever colour of asana is not prescribed because it kind of gives a sanyaas kind of feeling to a saadhak. To know more read "Mantra Rahasya" by Pujya Gurudev, Pustak Mahal Pubication. I remeber Gurudev has talked asanas and their relation with mantra. Guest guest
--- yes, actually reasoning is given for everything. if i rememeber correctly silk draws wealth, a multicolored wool aasan gives fulfilment of desires. cotton or kush are used to increase the satvik qualities. yes, mantra rahasya is wonderful book with all these answers and more jai gurudev anu In , "Goel, Anurag \(CORP, GEITC\)" <anurag.goel@g...> wrote: > > Different colours resonate with different mantraas, thats why many a times one will see an asana of a particluar colour being prescribed for a particular sadhana.
