Jai Gurudev!

 

Dear Friend,

 

I can understand your dilemma. However, if you read Pujya

Gurudev's book on Success in Sadhana and also other writings by him,

you will know that no Sadhak is permitted to speak of his

anubhuti/spiritual experiences and about his success or otherwise in

any Sadhana except to Pujya Gurudev. This is a dictum that is

followed by every Sadhak & Shishya. You may be surprised to know that

the name that I choose to write my messages on this website is also a

pseudo-name/assumed name, least I should be taken to be pretending to

be wiser than other Shishya's. I dare not say that I am even close to

the Spiritual Levels of our Sada Gurudev! It is my good fortune that

in this life I have been given the boon to be a Shishya of Sada

Gurudev. What else can one ask for? I am just a small insignificant

particle of dust who has been fateful to have been touched by the

Lotus feet of Pujyapad Gurudev Dr. Narayan Dutt Shrimali ji

(Nikhileshwaranand ji)

Only when you surrender yourself in reverence and faith to a true

Guru , can you really ever hope to progress on the spiritual path.

And this statement must not be construed in the narrow sense.

Everybody's karma is different. Surrender to the Guru and be patient,

giving him time and opportunity to work through your karma and to re-

arrange your life's patterns. As the Guru intercedes between you and

the Divine Lord, pick up the pieces of your life, and never give up

even if torn to bits. Live the divine bee, suck up a lot of wisdom. A

smooth life, the saints remind us, is not a victorious life.

 

Gurudev is the beginning and the ultimate end of all sadhanas. All

one can do is to worship his lotus feet; all other things don't

matter. Nikhil Stotras, Guru Gita, Nikhileshwarananda Panchak,

Durlabhopanishad- all of these indicate what I am trying to convey.

Prem for Gurudev's lotus feet is the key! Jai Gurudev! It's a

blessing that he has taken us as his shishya. Nothing else is

important. We are really blessed!

Sees Utaare Hath Kar, So Pasey Ghar Mahin

 

Kabir, this is the abode of love

Not the house of an aunt

Only that one can enter here

Who has relinquished all pride

 

Kabir in this doha attempts to explain valor and fearlessness in love

and devotion. A person who is able to defeat the passions of Anger,

Carnality, Attachment, Greed and Enmity – the enemies within

– is the

valiant one. To be a lover or a true devotee is the job of a warrior

and not of a coward. For love demands complete surrender of one's ego

and a spirit full of compassion and poise.

 

The abode of love is not like a visit to an aunt's house where the

social rules of entertaining guests may be available. Instead in this

abode of love one enters with the spirit of giving or complete

surrender.

 

Is a genuine offering to the Lord possible without surrendering

oneself? Similarly, is love possible between two people when it is

based on conditions?

 

Few Suggestions for developing the faith that you seek: -

 

Reading of the following books for 108 days will certainly help you

in having a steady-fast faith in yourself, your mantra and your

Gurudev!

2. Guru Gita

At the end of the book Durlabhopanishada there are given several

different Sadhanas for attaining closeness with your Sada Gurudev.

Try these Sadhanas in the given order and see for yourself how you

benefit!
