Guest guest
A friend of mine whose girlfriend was born in Canada and is 30 years got some haircolour product by mail ( some promotional item) and she applied it to her hair and the hair got stiffed. Hence because of the emergency they had to cut her long hair and shave the head. The girls mother cried and the father was upset. The girl was told that in the Hindu religion cutting the hair or shaving the head was a no no. The girl wants to know about Hair in Hindu religion and just what if any rules are there. If anyone can shed some light on it , I shall pass on to her any response. Thanks > > Jay Gurudev > > > > > > Your use of is subject to > > >
Guest guest
Nazir patel Bhai, If U are talking about the customs, then different part of country will have different customs little customized in accordence to their environment. As a custom in Hinduism, the girls are not allowed to cut the hairs, its considered as bad omen. The girl will cut the hairs only when her husband is died, called as VIDHAVE. Or else, the second condition is when she is talking sanyas dheeksha. These practices were made with more meanings for the betterment of living. There are lots of spiritual meanings for not cutting the hairs, Its not the time to explain those now. But now a days no more people follow these customs. As we can move along with TIME like kalaya thasmay namaha, there is no problem in cutting the hairs only in case of some hazrdous health problems by having those stiffed hairs. Because the first thing is to know what that promotion hair colour contains. Aslo, there are so many rules for even cutting the hairs like thithi, nakshathra, vara and etc., If they are interested in rituals there are lot of remedial measures for this given in shasthras. one can consult the right persons who can perform these rituals and get out of the mind occupied DOSHA.
