Guest guest
jaya gurudev, you are right about sadhana. it involves tratak, jap, puja, offerings etc... etc... Sadhana involves everything. so the difference is right there. Sadhana is a full process to get to the aim for what you are doing the sahana whereas Tratak is a procedure in that process, one of the steps. But if one is doing Tratak Sadhana itself, then it may just include tratak only, nothing else. There are two kinds of Trataks basically. External and Internal. some sadhanas involve external Tratak to Yantra, or Picture or light etc.. whereas others don't. Internal tratak, in my humble opinion, is a part of every sadhana. Anytime we concentrate on something closed eyes, it is internal tratak (correct me if i'm wrong) whether we are visualising deity or just concentrating on Kutastha. >Are not both the same except for the throwing of fruit???? Not at all. As explained above, tratak is a step in a sadhana whereas sadhana is a full process. Tratak is well known to be the quickest method to activate Agya Chakra among all the other yoga methods. May be some senior sadhaks here can describe better. *************************************** , "shreedhar12" <shreedhar12> wrote: > Hi, > sadhana to what i know(and is written in the website too)involves > diety worship, in which you tend to stare at the image of any > god/ishta dev/goddesses/aspara etcetc and have conversation with > them, offer fruit and throw it.
