Guest guest
Goddess Chhinnamasta is the most mysterious and the most rewarding of the ten mahavidyas, the ten most powerful goddesses. The knowledge of this goddess and the ritual to get her blessings, which is very difficult, is not known to many which adds to the fear for her. That's why most people prefer to stay away from her. Chhinnamasta means the goddess who has beheaded herself. It is believed that even a slight mistake in her worship may get the worshiper beheaded. Though, it's just a myth. Like most mahavidyas, Goddess Chhinnamasta, too, has a unique and fearsome appearance. Those who do not understand actual meaning of her appearance may find her horrific and terrible. She is naked because she is devoid of all coverings of illusion. She has severed her own head which means her worshipers must get rid of their egos. This also means detachment from the earth, her gravity and all wordly things after which one progresses spiritually and gets the strength to grasp all super-natural powers granted by the goddess like the power to become invisible, the power to fly, the power to get anything out of thin air and the power to be at many places at once. The goddess also blesses her worshiper with happiness, victory, success, health, wealth and knowledge. May God bless you all with perfect health and happiness. Ashish... Guest guest
Dear Ashish, Thankyou for the information on Chinnamasta.I would appreciate some guidance in this regard.I have been praying to Chinamasta for more than a year now.I was advised by an astrologer who I also regard as my Guru and he gave me a mantra for it too.How ever, I face some problems, I am always able to pray to Kaali with alot of energy and she responds to me just as a mother does and almost immediately.I also pray to Durga but for some reason praying to Chinnamasta has not been the same expereince.I tend to feel sleepy as I begin this puja. There are days when I am able to do it very well but in this past year there have been breaks and some how I feel the Godess isnt responding to me.Is there anythig I can do to improve this? Thankyou in advance. Best Wishes, Kanupriya.Tantra Shakti <tantra_shakti > wrote: Goddess Chhinnamasta is the most mysterious and the most rewarding of the ten mahavidyas, the ten most powerful goddesses. Guest guest
Jai Gurudev. One interpretation of the severed head I read some where was along the following lines - "To awaken your kundalini shakti, you have to shed your head (i.e. your ego). Without that complete awakening and control of kundalini shakti is not possible. Chinnamasta is shown with three streams of blood flowing out of her neck - they represent the three main naadis (Sushumna, Ida and Pingala)." - Raju S. --- Tantra Shakti <tantra_shakti wrote: > Chhinnamasta means the goddess who has beheaded > herself. > She is naked because she > is devoid of all coverings of illusion. Arvindsharma7997
Hi Iam also a upasak of mata. Can any of you will give me chinnamasta stotra
Ravindran Kesavan
Dear kanu priya, Chinna masta is Godess parvati only all ten Mahavidysas are her various forms only. Kali is also Parvati. Hence if you are fond of Kali and getting result immediately, there is no need to worship any other form of the same goddess. Maha vidya initiates worship only one of them through out their life. That is the way to attain siddhi. And one is enough. Of course if your astrologer suggested to do Chinnamasta upasana there must be a special reason . Because each planet indicate a Mahavidya. However technically Mahavidyas are supposed to be free from any plannetory considerations. Hence if you are a Kali bakth I dont see any reason to do anything else. Kali can do all that is there to be done. A good upasana is sticking to one singkle upasana murti. However dont get confused and do what you think must be done. My post is just a way of knowledge sharring. Regards, K.Ravindran

yogibeard
Hello Kanupriya, Please continue your upasana of chinnamasta mahavidya. There is no greater good to be obtained from any other upasana. Mostly the sadhana should be performed between 10pm and 12pm. One way to avoid sleeping during your pooja is to time your dinner early and this way you can finish the pooja starting at 10pm and goto bed right after. Hope this helps!
