Guest guest
Hi Tantrix you must be right, I once took part in a puja where we chanted 108 times guru-gayatri mantra. its a bit similar to the gayatri mantra. Another thing is that I ve come across 2 different versions of gayatri mantra, a long one and a short one. I was always more fond of the long one, although its not that popular as the short one. , arvind <tantrix_99> wrote: > Hi, this is my first mail to the group. I have read the book by Robert Svoboda, and in my opinion, there are different forms of the Gayatri, which is certainly true. What Vimalananda was referring to probably is the tantrik Gayatri mantra. I was told by someone that there are gayatri mantras for each and every deity. I personally know one for Sri Ganesha that is quite different from the Gayatri that has been taught to us. > Regards, > Tantrix >
