The spit had dried

Dear Spitual aspirants,

My guruvugaaru who was a great aghori and

more than an aghori he was also an avadhuta once spat at me when I

asked him are aghoris and avadhutas brahmins like me?...He grew very

angry. I did not know what to say. I was very young at that time.

Then he said ''now that i have spat on you you have become an achoot

(untouchable)...I asked him...how?/...He replied back"even the spit

of an avadhuta can make or break a caste.it can make a pariah a

brahmin and a brahmin a pariah...ultimately it is all in the soul

not in your birth''...I said then that his spit made me an achyuta

(pure) and not an achoot....He dint reply he turned and partook his

raagi balls with okra(ladies finger)..and out of his puny figure

came a smile. he said''The spit has dried''...Has the spit dried on

you brothers and sisters?...
