By doing any sadhana and getting a darshan of the respected deity, does the

glimpse of the deity bring any spiritual change in the sadhak or just the wish

of the sadhak is granted?

A sadhak begins his sadhna to achieve something. A highly accomplished always

act as selfless doer(Nishkam Karma), but ultimately his or her actions will

bring fruits, although he doesnt not think about this matter and thinks only

about his ishta devta/devi/Guru.That does not mean fruits will not come or

sadhak is just acting as soul-less machine . It is just that the sadhak is

puting his energy and emotions in just doing the task at hand, crushing all

obstacles in the accomplishment of task.

A sakam sadhak has a wish in his mind while doing his sadhna. He is doing the

task but simulatneously thinking about the end result also and this sadhak

exactly wants the result as per his own terms.

Both ways are available for sadhna. Darshan of respected deity is the

culmination of efforts put in by sadhak. Results will be as per his sankalpa if

the sadhana is sakam sadhna, and results do not matter (in wordly sense) if the

sadhak is nishkam sadhak. Both are equal .. because one thing is common.. that

they both are sadhaks and take the word of Guru as first and last word.
