Clarification of Navaratra

I have heard that Navaratri is during Nov but here i read it as in April. What

is the difference? Somebody explain.

There r 4 NAVRATRI's in a year...Ashwin, Paush, Chaitra & Kartik...(correct me if I'm wrong)

>From Shukla Paksh 1 (Prathama) till Shukla Paksh 9 (Navami) of these months are

known as NAVRATRIS. Among them, the more popular are Ashwin & Chaitra(now going

on). Paush Navratri is known as Gupt Navratri. These days are considered ideal

for MATRI UPASANA (other sadhans are also done though).

probably the navarathri may be "vasantha navarathri". These navarathris will

begin from the day of new year (UGADI) and ends with

srirama navami.These navarathris are more powerful and who will do any saadhana

during this period of 9 days it will give exemplary

results to them. i.e, these navarathris will start in every year from chaitra

suddha paadyami to chaitra suddha navami.

You are telling about dasarah navarathri which will come at the time of oct/nov

every year which will be in aashweeja maasa.(devi navaratra) and another

navarathris will start in september which is speically allocated to lard ganesh

which will called as ganapathi navarathra.

Gupt Navarti. And also what is Matri Upasana.

For Paush Navratri, like any other Navratris, different Sadhanas are prescribed

on certain graha-nakshatra yogs. Well, by Matri Upasana I meant sadhana/upasana

of any - GODDESS Form.
