Dear Brothers & Sisters,

 

Today (13-05-05) is Jagadguru Adi Sankara’s Jayanti. Most of you know

about his contribution to preserve the tradition and knowledge of ancient seers

and unifying them under the umbrella of single philosophy. Kanchi Mutt is one

of the four mutts established by Adi Sankra which has been carrying his

tradition of knowledge for more than last 2500 years.

Recently Kanchi Sankaracharya found himself in worldly trouble. Anger in His

eyes said many things which words could not convey. Rationalists will say that

the anger was due to the trouble He was facing. That view means celebrating on

seeing the misery of famous.

A little bit deeper look in His eyes during those days revealed volcano waiting

for eruption. No body spoke with confidence in his favour. Although He would

not have liked the people damaging public property on this issue but He

expected at least some heartfelt concern. He also knows that people would bring

heavens down if someone criticized Rajnikanth, but they hardly bothered for

Mutt. I do not know how many disciples have taken Diksha from Him, but surely

their attitude didn’t go well with Kanchi Sankra. Rage mixed with sadness

in the eyes of a Guru does not tell anything good about his disciples.We do not

know whether His desciples noticed this sad fact or not.

Even the nature expressed its fury. Sea just broke through the shores of Tamil

Nadu killing thousands. Shiva is Rudra also. Shiva is giver of life and He is

the one who takes it away. Nobody can question Shiva as He is the reason and He

is the result also. He can take away what He has given. Just like the owner

writes in today's business world " he can cancel the privileges without notice

and without assigning reasons". People just expressed condolences, put a few

rupees in donation box, say a few words of sympathy and move on. They have no

other choice. Some more sophistication will be added whenever disasters will

strike in future. Just like we saw at Ground zero in New York after 9/11 during

a prayer assembly in the memory of killed. Bill Clinton in tears and the CNN

commentators goes to the extent of suggesting the use of weapons of mass

destruction against the people responsible for it. All the high drama and show

of anger with good programming to create a

deliberate move to create an aura of anger and revenge.

Those who commit the crime and those swear for revenge are equally vulnerable.

What is absolute victory only a personality like Adi Sankra and explain. Born

in the extreme tip of south Indian peninsular and going to conquer the whole of

India upto the extrme tip of Himalayas in North India in Kashmir.

We would have just read only stories about his life had it not been grace of our

Gurudev who revealed to us the sadhnas Adi-Sankra did. Because of Gurudev only

we are able to know abaout the magnitude of his persanlity and knowledge.
