routine just liketaking breakfast or lunch. By doing this we can achieve those

things in material as well as on "adhyatmic" level what the person engrossed in

hours of daily pooja without Guru diksha can not achieve.They may spend hours

ringing bells of a temple, but do not count equal to this basic Guru poojan

done in proper manner with allnecessary basic articles mentioned above.

This shows that kriya is very important part of sadhana along with bhavana.

There is always a real danger for person who gives only importance to bhavanas

and negelects kriya. Some people say that they always keepon chanting Guru

mantra. It is very good it should be done. But theystart ignoring the daily

poojan in proper manner ordered by Gurudev.They start using their bahvanas to

cover up their laziness,careless and callous attitude. Constantly chanting any

mantra or Guru manatracan not be substitute of the proper and defined manner of

Guru poojan.

This is just one example and if you look into all sadhnas,this same principle applies.

In this path of sadhna a person should never ignore the kriyas.Gurudev has given

Mansik Guru poojan also, but that should be used onlyin the circumstances where

there is no possibilty of doing regular poojan. It should not be used to

cover-up the travelling time to your office or some spare time in your coffee

or tea break so thatyou are able to spend the time somewhere else which

actually should have been spent on Guru poojan in proper manner. These 30

minutesare the base on which you will spend your whole life.

Bahkati Rasa of Kabir, whose verses prompted me to write this mail,may give

false outward impression that a person should not do anyactivity and by pure

trust he can realise God. What kabir hassaid is very relevant. We should

develop pure trust in Guru,sadhna,mantra & kriya. Trust on its own without

Guru,sadhna,mantra &kriya will take us no where.We have realised God becuase we

have made a decision to move on the path shown by Gurudev. Gurudevare not

different from God on the contrary they are higher than God.Therefore Kabir

says us to realise, we have already done.What we need to do now is to follow

the path shown by Guru.There is no need to complicate the matters.There is no

need to be lost in long emotional sermons & verses.There is no need to

understand anything else.Keep the things simple & clear.There is so much to be

achieved but in very clear and simple manner.A complicated philosophy can give

us

an intellectual high butnecessarily what we want from our own existence,our life

and world around us.We should keep philsophies in our discussion and

mails,thereis no harm in that.

But when it comes to sadhnas- There should not be any compromise,complication or

unnecessary cooked up ideas. Keep the thingssimple and clear and make your life

like that.

That was a great posting on Kriya and Bhawana. Without action (Kriya), Bhavana

alone can not lead Sadhaks to their destination, and this applies to any real

life situation as well.
