Praise your Guru and realise your true self.

Dear Brothers and sisters,

In Shiv mahimana stotra, Pushpdanta says"If Goddess of knowledge Devi Saraswati

makes ink of all mountains of earth by dissolving them intothe oceans.If she

makes pens of all trees on earth and use the surface of earth as paper. And

then if she starts writing endlessly till eternity then also she would not be

unable to describe your true nature"Pushpadanta goes on to

add" If the Gods are unable to describe you,If Gods are unable to write

an exhaustive praise(stotra) of your qualities then how can I being a mere

mortal can even think of doing so".Even after saying this Pushpadanta goes on

to write the praise of Shiva while seeking apology for his misadventurous

and audacious act as per his own definition.This stotra is considered among the

best

ever in the praise of Maheshwara.All of us should learn a few things from

pushpadanta. Why all of you have gone silent when you could have easily said a

few things in praise of your Guru?

You know that Guru is Shiva only. No one can ever define Guru Tatva. That does

not mean that you should not make an effort to write something as per your own

capacity in the praise of Guru.When you do not feel shy in consuming the

resources provided by Guru, then why do you feel shy when it comes to showering

the flowers of your feelings of respect and love on Guru?Even if pushpadanta had

not written Shiva mahimana stotra , Shiva would not have lost any of His

qualities. Shiva would have remained Shiva only.And when Pushpadanta

completed Shiva Mahimana Stotra then also the Shiva had not changed. Then also

the qualities of shiva were as before he showered praise on Shiva by saying

this wonderful stotra. Ultimately it was only Pushpadanta gained by praising

Mahadev Shiva. He got free from thecurse of falling from Gandharva yoni to

ordinary human being.

So if you praise Guru then you should notthink you are doing a favour to Guru.

You should not think you are helping in discovering the Guru tatva. Actually

you are discovering yourself in this whole process.Ultimately you will

realise your true self and become one with Guru Tatva."True Self" is same

for every human being. Everything in this world retain its own qualities but

you would have cahnged in the process without making any conscious effort and

suddenly you will start realising what you have become.Therefore never miss any

opportunity to praise your Guru who is not different from Shiva.Differentiating

between Guru and shiva is a curse in itself which causes the down fall of

sadhak.
