Guest guest
1. A quick Internet search on Adi Shankaracharya revealed “Govinda Bhagavatpada as his Gurudeva, who lived in a cave beside Narmada River in Omkareshwar. Govinda Bhagavatpada was the disciple of the great saint Gowdapadacharya. The latter’s Gurudeva was Swami Sukadeva.” 2. “On the way to Omkarashwor from South India, Shankaracharya was also blessed by the Ageless Yogi, Maha Muni Babaji, who taught him perfection of the Raja yoga disciplines.” Maha Muni Babaji could be eternal Mahavatar Baba ji ("Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramhansa Yogananda). QUESTION??? If Adi Shankaracharya was one of the three Sishyas of Dada Gurudev, then could Govinda Bhagavatpada/ Maha Muni Babaji be our Dada Gurudev? Search on Gunatitanand revealed him as one of the 19th century great Gurus of Swaminarayan sector. I could not find any other info on him. Guest guest
Thanks Mithileshji. How could I be so forgetful! The three disciples of Pujyapaad Paramhans DadGurudev Swami Sachidanandji are: a. Pujya Swami Nikhileshwarandji (our Gurudev) b. Pujya Sandipanji (Guruji of Lord Krishnaji) c. Pujya Govindaji (Guruji of Adi Shankarcharyaji, who established 4 mathas) Along the path of perfection, one has to obtain knowledge and attain various capabilities. One becomes disciples of various Gurus on this path. However, a Supreme Guru keeps guiding the disciple on this path. This Supreme Guru is ParamPujya Swami Sachidanandji. The really high exhalted ascetics of Himalayas shun public , and prefer to work in private. They do not desire any fame or any interference from public. Therefore, there is very limited knowledge available about them. Guest guest
Dear Gurubhais, The two other disciples of Parampujyaniya Dada Sadgurudev are 1. Adi Sankarayacharya (hiranyagarbha) who was sent to this world for the preservation of Vaidik dharma 2. Rishi Sandipani (whose Siddhashram name may be Swami Gunatitanand but I am not sure) and he was the only rishi of that time who had the full knowledge of Mahakaal as told by Parampujyaniya Sadgurudev. and the third one is our Parampujyaniya Sadgurudev Dr. Narayan Dutt Shrimali(Parampujyaniya Swami Nikhileshwaranand Maharaj) who was sent to this world for the preservation of almost extinct VIDHYAS of this world.
