Let us just have a look at few words which we constantly keep on encountering in

the world of sadhnas.

 

 

One is Devotion

Second is Trust

 

There are many more, but for the time being we will just look at these two. Did

you ever wonder what is "Devotion"? How does a sadhak know that he is devoted

or not?

 

First of all just ask yourself that on whom are you banking upon for your sense of security?

Everyone has something to hold on. A person may be confident because of ideas in

his mind, he may feel secure because of the wealth his family is having, he may

feel secure because of his parents and realtives , he many feel secure because

of his parents and realtives, he may feel secure because of his qualifications

and a good job, he may feel secure because of his wife/husband/children etc.

As soon as these people are in some trouble they look for avenues other than

their Guru's knowledge.

Their philosophy is like this . Gurudev are Ok. We do sadhna. We do mantra japa.

gurudev will come to help us through some "medium" only. They can not come

personally. So it is better to seek help from our"seurity pillars", which we

have mentioned above. They say "After all we have to spend life with these

"pillars" only".

It is very difficult to reason with these type of persons. For them

Guru,sadhna,job,wife are on the same platform.

They will say they are "Grahasth". As a grahasth we have some duties. we want

to "enjoy" the life. These people will bring many more reasons if you just by

accident enter into this endless loop.

 

What do you say now? Nothing from our side. In such a messy situation word

devotion is a ordinary word like money ,house, car etc.

Mentioning word devotion in front of these people is highly dangerous. If

someone just try to tell them something about this, he is in a danger of being

swamped by a barrage of taunts , questions, uncharitable remarks or even

abusive slings.

We do not want to enter into this web of reasons and their validity. Even a

murderer gives a "valid" reason " for his act.

Complete devotion means to get your snese of security only from Guru, His

knowledge and His sadhna. It is plain and simple fact. There are no ifs and

buts.

 

Trust is also important word on which volumes can be written. If a person has

trust in his Guru's knowledge then he will act as per the clearcut indications

he gets through them. We are unable to describe these " clearcut indications" by

use of words. One of the important source for this are messages of Gurudev

through MTYV magazine. If a person just casually go through these messages and

do not make any effort to act upon them, then he lacks in trust on his Guru.

 

Therefore these words from Gurudev are enough for a sadhak to act. What

happens after that is taken care by Gurudev.
