Guest guest
On the morning of 1st September 1896, Ramana stepped of the train at Tiruvannamalai. Immediately he proceeded to the temple of Arunachalesvara where all the doors stood open, although the temple was empty. He entered the inner shrine and standing before His Father he experienced great ecstasy and boundless joy. His journey was over. maharshim ramanam namaami kaartikeyam naraakrtim / "I bow to Ramana Maharshi, Kartikeya (Son of Shiva) in human form." In this verse, Bhagavan refers to himself as "Pinvandhan" (one who came after) with reference to Ganesha. This verse gave immense joy to Kavyakanta Ganapathi Sastry who considered Ramana as an incaranation of Kartikeya. Today, the day of Vinayaka chaturthi when we worship Vinayaka we also celebrate the Anniversary of his Pinvandhan's arrival at Arunachala. Thank you Sri Miles for this Glorious Verse reminding us of the Devine link on this Doubly Auspicious Day! suryanarayan
