In Sri Ramana, Adam --------------- om namo bhagavate SrI ramaNAya Thank you dear Sri Adam. I just happen to be reading the book narrating the "Reminsiscences" of Sri Kunju Swami. Here is a passage from that book where Sri Kunju Swami speaks about another great devotee of Bhagavan, Sri Sadhu Arunachala (Major Chadwick). == Major Chadwick used to attend the Veda parayanam(Veda recitation) both in the morning and evening. He used to meditate a great deal. he had great affection for the boys in the Veda Patashala (Veda School). Her used to provide them with new clothes on Deepavali day. He showed great interest in Sri Chakra Pooja, as he thought it was good for the welfare of the Ashram. He arranged for Sri Vidya Havan every year. He took on the responsibility for the Vedapatashala and admitted 8 boys to it and appointed separate teachers for Tamil, Sanskrit, and the Vedas and looked after them with great care. He used to do pooja to Sri Dakshinamoorthy in his room and meditate. On the first day of every month, he arranged for a special pooja fro Dakshinamurthy in the Mathrubhuteswara temple. Even afetr his demise in 1962, the pooja contiues to be done every month. ===== Salutations to these great devotees! "anbodun nAmangEL anabardamanbaruk kanbanA yidavaruL aruNAchalA" (in Tamil) arunAcala aksharamaNamAlai, verse number 104. (The Marital garland of letters) Translation of this verse from the book "The collected works of Ramana Maharshi - By Arthur Osborne is given below. "Let me the votary of the votaries of those who hear Thy name with love, Oh Arunachala!" namo ramaNA suri __________ For regular News updates go to http://in.news.
