Guest guest
Hi Vicki, Under the main international copyright treaty, the minimum duration of a copyright is the author's lifetime plus 50 years. But that applies to new books; in the case of old books, an old law or old treat may apply. In the U.S., anything published before 1923 has no legal protection. I don't know the analogous date for other countries. Each country makes its own copyright laws. > or any other kind of information on > copyright I would be glad to know ; You're allowed to quote pieces of something without permission. For example, you could put a few paragraphs from David's book into a message here. But for longer copies, like files, you need permission. The safest thing to do is always ask permission before you publish (post) a copy. Everything is copyrighted even if it doesn't say "copyright". Guest guest
Hi Vicki, Thinking about all this... Sri Ramanasramam publishes many books about Bhagavan, but only four have been put into electronic form. I wonder if Sri Ramanasramam would like help from volunteers to type (or scan) some of their books for the Web?
