Can anyone not love & respect Ramana? Even an atheist reading words like these will want to believe in God. A big difference from the heaven and hell crap dished out elsewhere. Oops, mustn't say that. It is all part of Gods game after all. ______________________ With Love, Cyber Dervish ````````````````````````````````````````

Even an atheist reading words like these will want to believe in God. A big difference from the heaven and hell crap dished out elsewhere. Oops, mustn't say that. It is all part of Gods game after all. ______________________ With Love, Cyber Dervish ```````````````````````````````````````` Dear Jan, Actually, these same ideas are present in the new testament and are quite a main teaching. "Not I, but Christ in me.." and "whatsoever you do unto the least of these, you do unto me.The works I do are not mine, but he who sent me." and many more quotes to the same effect by both Jesus and his disciples. I know this list is not about Christianity, but I just wanted to mention that it seems unfair to imply it is only about what is perceived negatively and doesn't also contain truths similar to Advaita. There is a wonderful harmony of understanding in the essence of all religions. There is also enough of heaven and hell right here on earth for anyone who wishes to be concerned about them. The main message Jesus did preach to the crowds is that the kingdom of God is NOW. Please pardon my defensiveness of my heritage here, because I actually do agree with you that an emphasis on heaven and hell in some afterlife is a mistaken approach to understanding Jesus message. Guest guest
Hi Gloria, I am very sorry if I have hurt your feelings. That was not my intention. I was targeting all religions which put the fear of God in their people. And that is almost all the organized religions. The God I know feels very sad when people fear Him instead of loving Him. Hi Rob! Vinegar!? I prefer lime :-) Glad to see you in this tavern. Moderator, A pint of Love for all customers please, to go with Rob's salad. Cheers! ______________________ With Love, Cyber Dervish ````````````````````````````````````````
