Guest guest
Hello Dear Hillary (or is it Gloria?), Can you tell me the source of this quotation? It is good to hear Kundalini-Shakti included in the conversation about Self awareness. Guest guest
Hi Devaya, Sri Ramana on several occasions addressed the relationship between Kundalini Shakti and Self-Realization. You can find these conversations in the "Talks with Sri Ramana Maharshi". "Be As You Are" edited by David Godman gives a nice summary as well. At discussions on Shakti intermingle with Self-Realization. You and others are invited to join by clicking below and see if you resonate with the spirit of the fellowship. /join Devaya [devaya] Thursday, August 30, 2001 10:16 AM RamanaMaharshi Re: [RamanaMaharshi] Digest Number 316 Hello Dear Hillary (or is it Gloria?), Can you tell me the source of this quotation? Guest guest
Hi Devaya, Hillary supplied these quotes, I recognize them being from "Talks", as I also looked up a few when the discussion about kundalini was taking place. There are 10 references in the index. I am just the messenger who forwards between here and Harsha's. Since Vicki supplies so many to us, I wanted to send some back. Guest guest
The book that Vicki and I were discussing (No Mind -- I Am The Self) goes into tremendous detail about the physical side of self-realization as described by Sri Ramana -- the mind/Kundalini descending into the heart through a nadi (called in Talks the jivanadi and in this book the amrita nadi). The experience of one particular person, Mathru Sri Sarada, is described in almost physiological detail. - "Gloria Lee" <glee <RamanaMaharshi> Thursday, August 30, 2001 10:55 AM Re: [RamanaMaharshi] Digest Number 316 > Hi Devaya, > > Hillary supplied these quotes, I recognize them being from "Talks", as I also looked up a few when the discussion about kundalini was taking place. Guest guest
Rob Sacks [editor] Thursday, August 30, 2001 11:41 AM RamanaMaharshi Re: [RamanaMaharshi] Digest Number 316 The book that Vicki and I were discussing (No Mind -- I Am The Self) goes into tremendous detail about the physical side of self-realization as described by Sri Ramana -- the mind/Kundalini descending into the heart through a nadi (called in Talks the jivanadi and in this book the amrita nadi). I have not read the book but am familiar with Amrita Nadi through personal experience. Amrita Nadi connects the Yogis and Jnanis. It is through Amrita Nadi that the Yogi becomes a Jnani. This is why it is often said that the "Spiritual Heart" is beyond Sahasarara. The Kundalini Shakti after reaching Sahasarara, can with grace enter the Amrita Nadi and descend into the frontal "Spiritual Heart" which attracts like a Huge Magnet, the ultimate black hole, and sucks in the mind, the Shakti, and the whole universe. Self Alone Shines As Being, Whole, Utterly Complete, Clear, Seeing It Self, By It Self, Through It Self, Independent in all ways, beyond concepts, thoughts, images, with no longing for anything whatsoever. It Is the Ultimate Beauty Aware of It Self as Self-Existence, Self-Knowledge, Self-Bliss. These are not attributes but the very nature of the Self. One Monolithic Whole. The ancients called it Sat-Chit-Ananda, Nityam, Poornum. Those Who Know It, have nothing left to be known. Love to all Harsha

Guest guest
Rob Sacks [editor] Thursday, August 30, 2001 12:26 PM RamanaMaharshi Re: [RamanaMaharshi] Digest Number 316 Dear Harsha, It would be very interesting to hear more about your experience. Love, Rob ************************** I have various pieces written here and there over the years Rob and they are on my computer. Perhaps, I will put it all together and write in article form and put it in Magazine or Realization.Org. The important point is that Sri Ramana Maharshi's teaching and what has been described is absolutely authentic and that many devotees of the Sage experienced the Self. Because Sri Ramana Is Truly Here, alive in words and silence and as Presence, His blessings and grace are available to all. As the Sage used to say the outer Guru pushes from without and the Heart as the Guru calls from within. I was initially a yogi and did not know much about Jnana. I started Hatha and Raja Yoga in childhood and awakened my Kundalini without meaning to in my late teen years. There were many difficult times and years. The path of Kundalini Yoga ultimately turned into Jnana Yoga with the Grace of Sri Ramana 23 years ago. It is not the same for all. Some are able to come to Jnana quite directly. Still, they are bound to have mystical experiences and Samadhis just like Yogis. Yours in Sri Ramana Love to all Harsha
