Guest guest
Sorry. My last mail got garbled (htmlled. I am forwarding it again. Hope this one comes through with out any problem or garb. ======= om namo bhagavte SrI ramaNAya Dear Sri Vicki, It is nice to note that the many quotes from the book "Maha Yoga" which you are posting, relate to Bhagavan's 'Forty verses on Reality' (uLLadu nArpadu in Tamil or satdarshanam in sanskrit). Your posting on the 'Real Eye' is in fact, the translation of the fourth of the forty verses (not counting the the first two invocatory verses). Sri Lakshmana Sharma (the author of the book 'Maha Yoga' who later wrote under the pen name 'Who') has also written a commentary in Tamil for the 'Forty Verses on Reality'. Thank you for your frequent re'mind'ers of Bhagavan's words. namo ramaNA suri ------- > viorica weissman wrote: > > <snip> > The question whether forms are real is therefore > separately dealt with by the Sage. Guest guest
Hi Vicki, > Does "Who"'s commentary about > 'Forty Verses on Reality' > exist in English translation also ? > I would like to read it. There is a short English commentary by Who in the booklet "Revelation" published by Sri Ramanasramam. I don't know if it's the same commentary as the one mentioned by Sri Suri. By the way, I think you mentioned that you have the Arunachala CD. It contains a nice short commentary by T.M.P. Mahadevan. Actually, the commentary is a single page in an article, but it's a very nice single page! The article is called "The Maharishi and the Path of Knowledge." It's in Mountain Path number 4. Prof. T.M.P. Mahadevan is also the author of "Ramana Maharshi and His Philosophy of Existence," which contains my favorite English translation and commentary on 40 Verses. Trans-oceanically, Rob
