Rob,

 

One of the amazing things that shows up through the years is people coming to

self-realization with they are young, somehow discovering it for themselves

with no teacher. Ramana is a good example (but he was 16, not 12). My

teacher, Nome came to self-realization in his late teens.

 

My wife and I have talked about this. She things that it may be due to their

having fewer concepts to shed.

 

What a blessing for you to be in contact with such a "child," and for you to be

able to share this.

When I first heard from him he was asking questions like,

"What is meditation?" A couple of weeks later, he

announced to me that "God isn't a person, God is everything."

 

It turned out that this announcement was based on

experiences he had begun to have -- he was in a

bliss/nonduality state for several days. <
