Guest guest
"In Search of Self" is the autobiographical book by Arunachala Bhakta Bhagawat, the founder of Arunachala Ashrama in New York and Nova Scotia. He never met Sri Ramana in the body but felt the presence of Him very strong in His heart. His devotion is very moving. "Bhagavan is present in the Hearts of those who turn to Him. I find Bhagavan all the time in my Heart and it never occurs to me that His body has been gone all these years. Bhagavan inheres in my Heart and on that basis my whole life has taken such a marvellous turn that I wonder at the experiences which fill my Heart and overwhelm my life. I move in the world completely intoxicated in the love and devotion of Arunachala Shiva Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi. When I travel by train and want to read a book, at that very moment meditation seizes me and I am immersed in the peace and bliss that flow to me from Bhagavan. I still can see passengers coming and going and the world around me in motion, but my Heart is immersed in the peace and bliss of Arunachala Shiva Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi. People say that New York is no place for the pursuit of peace and happiness, as there are many distractions. But I have been so completely submerged in Bhagavan's Grace that I have no time for anything else but to meditate on Bhagavan."
