When Sri Bhagvan was at Gurumoortham,Achuthadasa came to see

Him.Along with him came

Acharapakkam Krishna Reddiar.Several yerars later,he settled down in

the ashram.We used to

call him reddiar Thatha.He was very healthy and always used to

meditate.He knew astrology.

He stayed with Sri Bhagvan for about two or three years.During that

period,he raised a number

of flower plants.He served Sri Bhagvan in several ways.

Once he made a trip to his home town.He said that he would die within

a week of his return

to the ashram.He was hale and hearty and no changes were noticed in

him.He was leading a

normal life.On the last day of the week,he had some fever.We informed

Sri Bhagvan of this.

He said,"He is a great astrologer.Knowing that his end is near,he has

come to merge in

Arunachala." Reddiar was in the same condition throughout the

night.He was lying in a

thatched shed in the ashram.Sri Bhagvan went to see him after supper

and sat near him.

B.V.Narasimhaswami also was there doing bhajan.Around 10'o clock we

asked Sri Bhagvan and

Narasimhaswami to go and take rest.We said we would look after

Reddiar.Ramakrishnaswami and

i were there.Around 4 in the morning Reddiar Thatha's soul merged

with Arunachala.When we informed

Sri Bhagvan of this,He asked us to make arrangements for burial by 8

a.m. We did so.

When Krishna reddiar's relatives were informed of his death,his

brother's son,Sivarama

Reddiar,came to the ashram.He spent some days at the ashram and

returned home.He used to come

to the ashram frequently.Finally,he settled down in the ashram and

was in charge of the

ashram bookstall for about 15 years till he passed away.
