I am not sure this is the place for this kind of dialogue, but until I am told

not, I will reply.

A betrayal of intention to stay focused with out surcease.

Loving the guru's words is the motivation to keep focused. Ramana always goes

back to the self for every answer and I to focusing for most of my answers.

dealing with the dude."

When one finds their ancient spiritual connection to speak of divorce is like

saying I am not. If you say I am not it is the proof that you are. If one allows

the possibility of divorcing the path of one's ancient connection then that was

not a true ancient connection and a divorce is proper.

Don't we all have role models? He is mine. He tells what he is about and does

not speak from hearsay. I just don't believe in his conclusion that what he has

was his calamity and that the mind is now too strong and cant be conquered. For

it will be conquered by removing the obstacles and redirection the attention to

the attention.But half hearted attempts are for the groupies.

Don't understand the above. It you examined the brain of Ramana and those that

went through that transformation you would find an incredible increase of

Megahertz IMO.It is a transformation on a cellular level and not just posturing.

That is why UG wont let the scientists examine his brain. They would only come

up with a drug to duplicate it.

That does not answer the question of whether or not an enlightened being can or

cannot give you what they have.

Hey san: I am very focused. I generally arise at around 2 and practice. Then all

through out the day I keep bringing my mind back to the ground zero of the

present time. However I know that what I need it to succeed it those 12 hours

days of sitting.

 

On those vipasana retreats, those who partake can quiet their mind to some

extent, but as soon as they leave the retreats the mind goes wild again. It

takes tremendous intention to succeed at this unless you are gifted, which I am

not unless you think intensity is a gift.

Its a matter of being detracted from intense practice to remove obstacles and

accelerate ripeness. Mindfulness and focusing in a matter of training. The

absolute state is a matter of ripeness. There are lots of distractions out

there and more so for the younger generation."

and sit is meditation all waking hours, except for body maintenance issues.

"People have sat in meditation for 50 years."

 

If I did not believe that that what I am doing will get me to the doorway of the

absolute, I would just quit practicing and smoke dope.
