It is rather unfortunate. M. : It is upadhi bheda (owing to different limiting adjuncts). The bodily limitations pertain to the aham (' I ') of the jiva, whereas the universal limitations pertain to the aham (' I ') of Brahman. Take off the upadhi (limiting adjunct) ; the ' I ' (aham) is pure and single. (Talk; 433, see also Talk; 314) The Heart is calling 'I'-'I'. However, as long as the cloud-like mind asserts its identity as 'I', the Self, as 'I'-'I', although ever resounding, goes unnoticed, unfelt. The upadhis are limiting factors which bring about the appearance of sequence and differentiation, starting with wrong association of 'I' with the inert mind/body complex. While the declaration 'I', by the ego, immediately brings 'my' and 'mine' in its wake, and then, in turn, 'you' and 'yours' etc. etc., this is solely because of the auspices of that primary, undifferentiated sole identity which throbs unceasingly, as the real 'I'-'I'. As soon as the ego gives up its habit of Self-limitation, (through Self Enquiry), Heart to Heart speech, although deafeningly silent, is felt, vibrantly, as ever. Sri Ramana's Teaching comes directly from the Heart... and as such ... His words are an eternally vibrant and living compassion. If we open to Sri Ramana's words, Heart speaks to Heart, and the head (intellect) falls naturally in perpetual namaskar. om sri gurave namah ********* ========= 22) vigrahendriya prANadhItamah / nAhamekasattajjaDamhyasat // This sole existent ' I ' is not the delusion, of (separation into) body, senses, breath, and mind.
