Guest guest
Dear Alton, As Ramana has said, all suffering consists of ignorance, consists of ideas that are not true. What "idea" is your identity? Where does the Reality of this idea come from? For whom is this idea? (Who are you?) You know what you need to do. Keep returning the mind to the 1st. Nothing wrong with intense effort directed towards Self-realization. Just keep directing the effort in a way that brings knowledge of who you really are. Self-realization comes from Self-knowledge. Guest guest
Thanks Richard for your input. "What "idea" is your identity? Intellectually I know all that and I believe it absolutely. See my post to Cecile and Viorica. Where does the Reality of this idea come from? For whom is this idea? (Who are you?) I will tell you from my own experience like my teachers, but only after it is secured for 5 years. It'sike I suffered for almost 40ears trying to be a vegetarian and could not do it. It lead me to want someone to kill me because I could not commit suicide. Now miraculously I have found the right combination and will only say I am now a vegetarian if it works for more that one year. Aloha, I AM... formerly Alton RamanaMaharshi, "richard_clarke95125" <r_clarke@i...> wrote: > Dear Alton, > > As Ramana has said, all suffering consists of ignorance, consists of > ideas that are not true. > > What "idea" is your identity?
