Guest guest
If you go and sit quietly and close your eyes and relax. Then sink into your heart, or to the ground of being. Usually the attention and energy is flowing out the senses. It's best to be very simple and not go for doctrine as that's mental. I try to let my mind be clear like a glass of water, and then ask my heart to see for me, to hear for me, to read for me. You have two selves, one located in the mind, that says "I am ...this and that". The other sits in your heart and silence, is prior to the mind and senses and is full of love and light and wisdom. You can only find it when the mind is silent. It's awareness prior to awareness of (something). The mind has forgotton it's true nature of light and wisdom and manifests as the world. If the mind becomes very pure, by withdrawing it from the world and senses, it will get sucked into the heart, and your real Self will shine like 1000 suns. All valid traditions try to point to this, to removing all obstructions and false ides about who you are. Be still and know that I AM GOD means continually returning to the Seer and finding out who it is. Hope this is helpful, linda "Self is everywhere, shining forth from all beings, vaster than the vast, subtler than the most subtle, unreachable, yet nearer than breath, than heartbeat. Eye cannot see it, ear cannot hear nor tongue utter it; only in deep absorption can the mind, grown pure and silent, merge with the formless truth. He who finds it is free; he has found himself; he has solved the great riddle; his heart is forever at peace. Whole, he enters the Whole. His personal self returns to its radiant, intimate, deathless source. As rivers lose name and form when they disappear into the sea, the sage leaves behind all traces when he disappears into the light. Perceiving the truth, he becomes the truth; he passes beyond all suffering, beyond death; all the knots of his heart are loosed."
