Friends in Bhagavan:

I was discussing this with othe people and I thought

to send it to this group.

When thought loses its grip, another "thing" takes the

place. This other thing is absolute, while thought and

all its creations are relative. Before the absolute,

the relative - which is there (world, me, which are

thought)- has a different perspective. Since thought

has lost its grip, all things that belong to thought

also lose their prior excessive importance. If one

sees very closely one will see that the relative is an

appeearance of the absolute. This is the meaning of

the allegory of the rope and the snake. One has to

come very close to the "snake" in order to see what it

really is. This means to see what the "me" is. To

investigate what the "me" does in the world - the

confusion, the disorder as well as the beautiful

things - is one of the ways to see what the "me" is.

To see the enormous disorder created by the action

based on knowledge - which is incomplete, relative,

thought - is to investigate the "me" which acts. To

see the tremendous sorrow, despair, starvation, the

wars, the manipulations created by the "me" is to look

very closely at the "snake". Who is the creator of all

this? What is the "me"? Whence does the "me" arise?

When the machinery of thought slows down through this

investigation and the other thing is "discovered",

"uncovered", then all the picture has a new

perspective. Fortunately, by God´s grace, this is not

just words, ideas, for the one who is writting. God is

the absolute, which is what we really are.

Best regards,

Domingos.
