Guest guest
If one wants to abide in the thought-free state, a struggle is inevitable. One must fight one's way through before regaining one's original primal state. If one succeeds in the fight and reaches the goal, the enemy, namely the thoughts, will all subside in the Self and disappear entirely. The thoughts are the enemy. They amount to the creation of the Universe. In their absence there is neither the world nor God nor Creator. The Bliss of the Self is the singe Being only. ~~~~~~~~~~~ >From Talk 326 ~~~~~~~~~~~
Guest guest
All: This is a very interesting quote from Bhagavan about the need to "struggle" for the thought-free state. It reminds me of Roshi Phillip Kapleau's quote of his Zen Master, Yasutani Roshi who used an interesting analogy to describe kensho or enlightenment experience. Yasutani Roshi likened meditation to using effort to lift a rock and how when and if one pushes the rock enough, it flips over and enlightenment is realized. He compared the mind to a rock that must be "pushed over" in order to find release from it's constant weight. Just my observation, Mark If one wants to abide in the thought-free state, a struggle is inevitable. One must fight one's way through before regaining one's original primal state.
