Guest guest
poem from Paltu "...find the preceptor right, who Satnam will recite, and he will show you the way. Close eye and mouth and ear. Chirping of cricket hear, As Anhad melody the pupils twain, as one draw in, A flowering garden spy. To a point bring both moon and sun: On Sukhman concentrate in the confluence of Tribeni meditate.........." November 12, 1974 Scorpio sun, Scorpio moon (actual diary entries) "First I cleared out my nose and lungs and received air, then I received light. Upon taking a breath [on the inside], I saw my double [beneath me]. I sat down, I summoned someone to aid me, [it seems] I held onto their shoulder. Then the experience began: blackness, everything was swirling, then the sound of a huge closing door, [it was] loud, vacuum sound, indescribable, I remember thinking "Am I dead?" The only other thing I remember from that experience, of more than 20 years ago, is spinning through dark space and the loud rushing sound in my ears. I learned a great deal from that experience. Most importantly that we learn from everyone and from every circumstance and that by making them a stand-in or a temporary teacher or guru we can garner the appropriate blessing, and make progress at every turn of the spiral. The masters tell us that the teacher can only take the student as far as he himself has gone; it becomes imperative that we find the proper teacher. And when the student "finds" someone to take him across the ocean of phenomenon, as the physical body is often referred to, he will eventually find himself merged into the ocean of the divine. He will be a drop merged back into that ocean and no longer wonder: Am I the drop or the ocean? The following is from a morning meditation sometime in 1974 also: The scene becomes as a blue expanse and what seemed like a mountain in the distance was in sight, as well as a guide, a woman guide, who told me she was here with me in Lousiana (where I was living at the time) and we were approaching this mountain together, she as my guide. WHen we got a little closer she asked me "would you like to see how all men's souls are one?" I said yes. But I don't recall seeing anything in particular, I shuddered as she spoke, in awe. I did not see a face. But I think we were in the clouds which formed or looked like a mountain. Here is a quote from "Esoteric Psychology" page 593 by Alice Bailey: "The science of meditation will eventually absorb the science of laya- yoga, but only in the highest form of the latter. The goal of meditation is to bring about the free play of all the incoming forces so that there is no impediment offered at any point to the incoming energy of the soul...this will mean not only good health but direct contact with the soul..which is characteristic of the life expression of the Master and the initiate as well as of the disciple, only in a lesser degree."
